All accommodations are on the Gulf of Corinth, which has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world (in our opinion). The turquoise waters are crystal clear and always great for a swim!
We highly recommend hiking the acropolis above Ancient Corinth, which is only a 30-minute drive from the wedding venue. Not only does this activity provide stunning views and a great workout, but guests can also travel back in time and experience the ethereal beauty that is this ancient fortress used to repel many an army, dating back to 700 BC. After the acropolis, drive down to the Temple of Apollo at Ancient Corinth and enjoy lunch at Marinos! Be sure to check times as the acropolis closes early.
We love the beach bars in Kiato. You can lounge beachside during the day or bar hop in the evening! Our favorite spot is KooKoo (great food and music), but we also like Como Mai, Itsy Beachy, etc.
Take a day trip to Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece- about an hour from Xylocastro. Naflio's cute restaurants and shops are all nestled in small, bougainvillea lined streets among buildings influenced by Venetian architectural design. The walkability and beauty that is Nafplio make it one of our favorite towns to explore.
Explore the ruins of Ancient Epidaurus, the most perfect ancient Greek theatre in terms of acoustics and aesthetics. If you drop a pin in the middle of the stage you can hear it from the highest row. The location is convenient to pair a trip here on your way to Nafplio.
Xylokastro has a great boardwalk for some world class strolling, where you can stumble upon restaurants, bars and the best loukoumades in Greece at Anemologio (a 1 min walk from the Arion hotel).
